Guided tours through companies of the German woodworking sector and a 2-night stay in Nuremberg!

What you can expect
The chair of Sustainable Business Economics (Prof. Röder) offers a 3-day field trip, where you will get insight to circularity in forestry and the woodworking sector in Germany. You will probably earn ECTS (depending on the decision of the examination board on May 15).
During the field trip you will visit different German companies like “Kehlheim Fibres”, “Pfleiderer”, “UPM Augsburg” and many more.
By getting exclusive insights in the company´s production processes you will learn all about how different Wood-based products are made, how fibers are extracted and used, how paper is made and even how all those products can be recycled and reused!
During the field trip you will stay at a Youth Hostel located in the old castle of Nürnberg. The stay in the hostel, breakfast, a Nuremberg old town tour well as the bus drive to the locations and back to Straubing will be covered by TUM.

Application in open from now until May 8th 2024!
Application is open for bachelor and master students who participated in the course “Wood Based Resources”. Please send the following application documents to Veronika Adam (veronika.adam@hswt.de):
